E-Bike Tour of Kyoto's West Gems

What you'll do

West Gems of Kyoto – On an E-Bike 🚴‍♂️✨

Golden temples, local markets, and off-the-beaten-path beauty—discover western Kyoto a fun and informative guide.

📝 Overview

This scenic ride rolls through the calmer side of Kyoto, offering a peaceful mix of historic temples, lively shrines, and quiet backstreets. From the spiritual to the scenic, this tour gives you the full Kyoto experience—on two wheels and without the crowds.

🌄 Scene Setting

We begin with a ride through the city across to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, where we can take in the natural beauty of this special place as well as the surrounding area. The next stop is Ryoanji, with its world-famous Zen rock garden that somehow says more with silence than words ever could. Then it’s time for the crown jewel—Kinkaku-ji, the Golden Pavilion, one of the most iconic (and photogenic!) temples in Japan. The shimmering gold leaf, mirrored perfectly in the still pond below, is a true “wow” moment. Between each landmark, we cruise along quiet, leafy streets—perfect for soaking in the local atmosphere.
