Philosopher paths, hidden shrines, and Kyoto’s serene eastern soul—all explored at a relaxed pace on foot.
This tour is for curious wanderers who want to connect with Kyoto beyond the touristy surface. Together, we’ll stroll through quiet neighborhoods and timeless temple grounds, uncovering a graceful mix of spiritual depth, scenic beauty, and cultural history along the way.
Our walk begins in the peaceful Higashiyama district, where temple roofs peek above maple trees and stone lanes wind past mossy walls. From the flowing canals near Nanzen-ji to the thought-provoking calm of the Philosopher’s Path, this route blends nature and tradition in perfect harmony.
We’ll stop at quiet neighborhood shrines, explore temple grounds tucked into forested hills, and end with a visit to the breathtaking Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion)—a masterclass in Zen garden design and elegant simplicity.
